Dioxins

The NLS offers a High Resolution GC-MS (HR GC-MS) service for the analysis of a range of highly toxic Organic Pollutants including:

• Dioxins (polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and furans) to MCertS standard - Fact sheet available
• PCBs (Polychlorinated Biphenyls)
• PAHs (Polycyclic Aromatic Hydrocarbons)

These tests can be complemented with a wide range of other analysis to provide a complete environmental picture.

Past projects include analysis work on behalf of DEFRA on the UK Soil and Herbage Survey, a national project looking at levels of Dioxins and other pollutants across the whole of the UK.
