How To Get The Best From Working With The NLS

Service Steps 3

Step 1 - How do I get a quotation?

If you need a quote, just provide us with the following information and we will ensure your quote is with you within 48 hours.

  • A list of the analysis and matrix you require
  • The purpose of performing the analysis
  • The number of samples you would like us to analyse

If it is going to take longer than 48 hours, our customer services team will let you know. Once we have received your written acceptance of our quote (an email will do), we will then provide all the necessary paperwork and sample containers directly to you.

Step 2 - What containers or bottles do I need to use?

Our Cutomer Service Team can arrange to send you the correct sample bottles and containers to fit the material you would like analysing.

Step 3 - How do I get my samples to you?

The paperwork we need to process your sample includes a Chain of Custody form, allowing a sample to be tracked from dispatch to receipt at one of our labs and a Safety Hazard form, that allows you to record whether you know or suspect the sample contains hazardous material.

If you need a courier to return your samples to us, our Customer Service Team will be happy to help arrange this for you.

Step 4 - When can I expect to receive my results?

Our aim is always to deliver on the promises we make. We will never knowingly commit to a turnaround time that is beyond our capabilities at that point in time. Our standard turnaround is 10 working days depending on your specific requirements. Shorter turnaround times are available by prior agreement, dependent on your specific requirements and our working capacity. Please note:

  • The day the sample is received by the laboratory is defined as Day 0 (zero).
  • Times quoted are in business working days (Monday - Friday) excluding bank holidays

Step 5 - How will I receive my results?

We will normally email reports to you in PDF format, but hard copies and alternative formats (eg. Excel) are available upon request.
