Plans For This Website
New for 2010 . . .
Phase II of this website has now been launched (February 2010). Based upon customer feedback, a series of "user-tools" have beeen incorporated into the natlabs.co.uk site. These include a comprehensive product search, site search and an enhanced "My NLS" section which will allow our customers to track the status of their samples through our labs and download and view their reports online.
So what is in this new release?
- o The new comprehensive search capability will improve the ease of which customers can understand and access what the NLS can offer them. Customers can search on keywords of interest to retrieve relevant content from the website or access the extensive portfolio of tests available from the NLS. For each area of NLS analysis, customers will be able to retrieve details of the test method, the types of materials that can be analysed, minimum reporting values and the accreditation offered.
- o The enhanced "My NLS" section allows customers to log into their area of the site via a secure login. This includes an ability for customers to track the progress of their own analysis through NLS laboratories. It also provides customers with access to their online report library so that they can download their own reports when and where they like.
- o This phase of the website also provides greater visibility of NLS news items, highlighting the dynamic nature of the NLS business through a homepage based news bar. Customers can "click-through" on subjects highlighted on the news bar to access more detailed content of specific interest to them.
NLS Website - What we had in mind
Our plan for the first phase of the NLS website was to create a single, accessible point of introduction and reference to the services and expertise offered by the NLS. Until the launch of natlabs.co.uk, NLS specific content had been part of our parent's website, Environment Agency.
Phase I (February 2009) was designed as an online catalogue, including all of our major products and services that we have to offer. A full site map is available, allowing you the site's content has been organised.
Please tell us what you think
