Multi-Residue Screening - Options Available
Option 1 - GC-MS Target Based MR Screen
The GCMS Target Based Screening methods allow for virtually all GC-amenable pesticides as well as hundreds of other organic pollutants to be identified from a single sample, incorporating over 950 chemicals and including both VOCs and SVOCs into a single unique target database that provides the user with a comprehensive screening tool.
The use of the very latest GCMS systems and the Deconvolution Reporting Software (DRS) has allowed for these chemicals to be identified at low levels.
By deploying three separate, but complementary, steps of data analysis the accuracy of target identification has dramatically been increased.
Option 2 - GC-MS MR Screen + Investigation
The new 'GC-MS MR Screen + Investigation' method includes all the functionality of the GC-MS Target based MR screen but includes an additional manual search.
When an unknown compound is found in the sample chromatogram that cannot be identified, as no reference data exists in the target database, the compound information obtained can be compared to that contained in a reference library. Identification is made by comparison against ~190,000 chemicals contained in the library (NIST08).
Positive identification is achieved by a match quality.
