Multi-Residue Screening - Options Available

Option 1 - GC-MS Target Based MR Screen

Over 800 organic chemicals have been incorporated into a unique target database, including both VOC's and SVOC's. The use of the very latest GC-MS systems and the Deconvolution Reporting Software (DRS) has allowed for these chemicals to be identified at very low levels, typical LoQ 0.01µg/l. By deploying three complementary steps of confirmation, the accuracy of target identification has been dramatically increased.

Option 2 - GC-MS MR Screen + Investigation

The new 'GC-MS MR Screen + Investigation' method includes all the functionality of the GC-MS Target based MR screen but includes an additional manual search. When an unknown compound is found in the sample chromatogram that cannot be identified, as no reference data exists in the target database, the compound information obtained can be compared to that contained in a reference library. Identification is made by comparison against 190,000 chemicals contained in the library (NIST08). Positive identification is achieved by a match quality.
